Why Patients Choose Dr. Chen for Dental Implants
Not all implant dentists are the same. Dr. Chen's combination of advanced fellowship training, high case volume, and technology investment means patients get better outcomes, fewer complications, and results that last.
NYU Prosthodontics Fellowship
Most general dentists learn implant placement through weekend courses. Dr. Chen spent two years in a full-time Advanced Prosthodontics Fellowship at NYU Langone Health — one of the most competitive programs in the country. This training covered not just implant placement, but the full restorative chain: bone grafting, sinus lifts, immediate loading protocols, and complex full-arch rehabilitation.
3,000+ Implants and Counting
Volume builds mastery. Over 15 years, Dr. Chen has placed implants in patients with a wide range of clinical situations — from straightforward single-tooth replacements to complex All-on-4 full-arch cases. This depth of experience means she's seen and solved virtually every challenge an implant case can present.
3D-Guided Implant Surgery
Every implant case at Summit Ridge begins with a Sirona CBCT scan, which creates a detailed 3D map of the jawbone, nerve pathways, and sinus cavities. Dr. Chen uses this data to digitally plan the exact position, angle, and depth of each implant before surgery begins. This computer-guided approach improves accuracy, reduces surgical time, and speeds up healing.
CEREC Same-Day Crowns
For qualifying implant cases, Dr. Chen can design and mill the final crown in-house using CEREC technology — eliminating the need for a separate appointment and a temporary restoration. Patients leave with a finished, natural-looking tooth in a single visit.
What Does the Implant Process Look Like with Dr. Chen?
Dr. Chen's implant process is designed for precision, comfort, and clear communication at every stage.
Step 1: Consultation and 3D imaging. Dr. Chen examines your mouth, takes a CBCT scan, and reviews your health history. She'll explain whether you're a candidate and outline your options — with no pressure.
Step 2: Custom treatment plan. Using the 3D scan, Dr. Chen digitally plans the implant placement. She'll show you exactly where the implant will go and answer every question.
Step 3: Implant placement. With sedation options available, Dr. Chen places the titanium implant post using computer-guided precision. Most patients are surprised at how comfortable the procedure is.
Step 4: Healing and osseointegration. Over 3 to 6 months, the implant fuses with the jawbone. Dr. Chen monitors your progress throughout.
Step 5: Crown placement. Once healed, Dr. Chen places the permanent crown. The result is a tooth that looks, feels, and functions like your natural teeth.
Step 6: Follow-up care. Dr. Chen schedules follow-up visits to ensure everything is healing properly and the implant is functioning as expected.

Before
After
"After losing two teeth from an accident, I was devastated. Dr. Chen took the time to explain all my options and walked me through exactly what to expect. The implants look completely natural — even my own dentist back home couldn't tell which teeth are implants. Her skill is matched only by her kindness."
