Advanced Dental Technology at Summit Ridge Dental
We invest in the tools that make your care more comfortable, more accurate, and more efficient. From 3D imaging that shows us exactly what's happening beneath the surface to same-day crowns that save you a second appointment — technology at Summit Ridge isn't about gadgets. It's about better outcomes for you.
Sirona CBCT 3D Imaging
What it does for you: A CBCT scan creates a detailed 3D model of your jaw, teeth, nerves, and sinuses in about 15 seconds. It gives our doctors a complete picture that traditional 2D X-rays simply can't provide.
Why it matters: For dental implants, wisdom tooth extractions, and complex cases, seeing the anatomy in 3D means our doctors can plan procedures with surgical precision — reducing complications, shortening procedures, and improving outcomes. Dr. Chen uses CBCT scans for every implant case, mapping the exact placement before any surgery begins.
Available at: Scottsdale, Tempe, and Gilbert — all three locations.
CEREC Same-Day Crowns
What it does for you: CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) allows us to design, mill, and place a permanent ceramic crown in a single visit — typically in about 90 minutes.
Why it matters: Traditional crowns require two appointments, a temporary crown, and a 2-3 week wait for a dental lab. With CEREC, there's no temporary, no second visit, and no waiting. The crown is digitally designed to match your bite and tooth color, then milled from a solid block of ceramic right in our office.
Available at: Scottsdale and Gilbert. Patients at our Tempe office who need same-day crowns can schedule at either location.
iTero Digital Scanner
What it does for you: The iTero Element scanner replaces traditional goopy impression trays with a comfortable digital wand that creates a precise 3D model of your teeth in minutes.
Why it matters: No more gagging on impression material. The digital scan is more accurate than traditional molds, which means better-fitting crowns, veneers, and Invisalign aligners. For Invisalign patients, Dr. Patel uses iTero's Outcome Simulator to show you a preview of your projected results before you start treatment.
Available at: All three locations.
Digital X-Rays
What it does for you: Digital X-rays capture detailed images of your teeth and bone structure with significantly less radiation than traditional film X-rays — up to 80% less.
Why it matters: Images appear instantly on the screen, so your dentist can show you exactly what they see and explain findings in real time. No waiting for film to develop, no chemical processing, and a smaller environmental footprint.
Available at: All three locations.
Intraoral Cameras
What it does for you: A small, pen-sized camera takes high-resolution photos inside your mouth, displayed on a screen right next to the dental chair.
Why it matters: Instead of taking our word for it, you see what we see. Intraoral photos make it easy to understand why a treatment is recommended, track changes over time, and make informed decisions about your care. It's transparency you can literally see.
Available at: All three locations.
